Politics of Religion: Sher Bahadur takes Khum Bahadur's line

August 18, Kathmandu. Sher Bahadur Deuba, who first became Prime Minister in 1995 (2052 BS), finally succeeded in becoming the party president twenty years after having led the government. He ascended to the leadership of the Nepali Congress at the party's 13th General Convention held in Kathmandu in February/March 2016 (Phagun 2072 BS). By that time, he had already led the government on three occasions.
